I like to work in a number of different mediums and usually not sticking to just one. I'll mix acrylic with chinagraph pencils, graphite pencil with watercolour and chalk pastel - whatever works.
Here you'll find a selection of different styles. Animals are what I love drawing and painting, first and foremost.
I am thrilled to be able to officially share an amazing project I was invited to be a part of, organised by fellow children's book illustrator, Andy Geppert.
This year marks the exciting first release of the SQUIGL CLUB Calendar, which shows that a love of art and drawing can span any distance. Andy sent me a delightful penguin illustration by Alira Nicol and I was asked to create a piece of artwork incorporating it, with the theme, THINGS WITH WINGS.
The 2026 calendar is an exciting collaboration between young artists in remote Queensland communities, and some of Australia's best picture book illustrators including NINA NILL, JAMES FOLEY, SAMI BAYLY, PETER CHEONG, MATT STANTON, NATASHA CARTY, TERRY WHIDBORNE, TONY FLOWERS, BRENT WILSON, KATE ISOBEL SCOTT, ANDY GEPPERT and myself!
The result is something quite special, with kids from 3-12 years of age published for the very first time alongside their picture book heroes, in this joyful one-of-a-kind calendar!
Proceeds from the SQUIGL CLUB calendar will help make Storyfest Regional Writers' Festival accessible to more kids, by funding transport and tickets to the event. There is a limited number currently being printed. You can order via the link below.
This is such an amazing initiative to bring kids of the outback to Storyfest. Thank you Andy for making this happen for the kids!
