My dream days are spent at my drawing board, drawing or painting the wonderful creatures of the Animal Kingdom - this is what I love to do most. Whether it's a traditionally published children's book, a commercial collaboration with a client or creating a new range for licensing, I'm always open to exploring new possibilities.
I still paint traditionally as I love to explore paint on paper. Thank you for dropping by.

In August I was awarded Honorary Membership (along with fellow South Australian illustrator, Danny Snell) by the Children's Book Council of Australia (South Australian Branch) in recognition of outstanding contribution to Australian children's literature. The CBCA have long played a crucial role in championing Australian Children's Books and supporting creators. It was such an honour to be recognised by the CBCA and even more special to be sharing this Award with Danny, as we both graduated in the same class from the University of South Australia. Thank you so much CBCA SA!
Terrain Tamer (Don Kyatt) was named a Finalist in the 2025 Australian Marketing Institute - Marketing Excellence Awards for Creativity in Brand, Product or Service Marketing, for 'The Customer is King' campaign featuring 'Finding Frank'. Honored to have illustrated this book for another outstanding, family owned Australian business. Congratulations to the team!
It's an absolute honour to once again be collaborating with local family owned, extraordinary chocolate makers, Haigh's Chocolates, to create some gorgeous additions to their Easter range for 2025. This softer image was painted quite large in watercolour in order to capture all the detail and I love that this year, it incorporates a number of our favourite native animals.
The round tins created this year are absolutely divine and I hope they will be much loved by children and adults alike. Thank you to the amazing design team at Haigh's Chocolates, you do an incredible job. Enjoy!
